Technical Publication Manager - Resume
Objectives:
- Intermediate-level technical writer to write README files for monthly
product updates following an established procedure. The files provide
update information for a tool that tests Java-based cell phone applications
for quality conformance.
Experience:
- Support monthly software update process by writing README files
that accompany each release. Periodically more than one release
each with corresponding README files are supported concurrently.
- Read descriptions of software changes written by engineers whose
first language is not English and translate them into user-centered descriptions.
- Consulting with engineers to clarify and review rewritten information as needed.
Skills:
- Writer with experience and demonstrated proficiency coding
HTML with DreamWeaver, HTML composition tool,or by hand.
- Writer with solid English skills and an ability to translate descriptions written
by engineers whose first language is not English into information that
can be understood and applied to real-world situations by the target
English-speaking technical audience.
Advantages:
- Familiarity with mobile device software and testing.
- Familiarity with Java applications programming.
